What to expect on your first session

How you can prepare

  • Wear comfortable clothes:

    • You will have to move during your session, be it exercises or for manual techniques. Be sure that you dressed to allow movement

  • Have a list of questions:

    • It’s easy to forget all the questions you wanted to ask your therapist when you’re finally at the session. Note them down and let us know

  • Remember to follow up:

    • Forgot to ask something during the session? Unclear on something? Drop us a text and we’ll get back to you once we can

01 — Assessment

Especially during on the first session, we will check your baseline specific to your condition and decide what needs to be worked on.

This should be shorter in subsequent sessions as we would be checking specific areas to check for your response to treatment.

02 — Goal-setting

There are goals, and then there are goals. We need to find out what you want, so that we can work together towards it. This goal will be reviewed over time as we progress towards it.

03 — Exercise Prescription

Strengthen, stretch, being agile. Exercises are definitely a part of the session and will be done during and prescribed for after the session.

04 — Manual Techniques

Depending on the condition you may have, this is something that our therapists would be doing. These techniques include but are not limited to:

  • Soft tissue release

  • Joint mobilization

  • Myofascial release
